Our food-grade liners meet NSF/ANSI/CAN 61, the North American health-effects standard for materials that touch drinking water. Cistern construction itself is covered by CSA B126. If you drink from your cistern, test the water regularly, as Public Health Ontario recommends.

How long is my cistern liner covered?
Every liner carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty. If our team installs it, you also get a 1-year workmanship warranty on the installation.
Are the seams covered?
Yes. The 10-year manufacturer warranty covers the factory seams, including tears that start at a seam.
Is installation covered?
Installation workmanship is covered for 1 year when Cistern Liner Co. installs your liner. If you or another installer fits it, the 10-year manufacturer warranty on the liner still applies, but the installation itself is not covered by us.
Does the warranty cover a leaking concrete cistern?
The warranty covers the liner. It does not cover the structural condition of the cistern around it, so structural defects should be addressed before the liner goes in.
What if my liner is accidentally punctured?
Accidental or externally caused damage is generally not a manufacturing defect. Contact us anyway and we can help you work out the options.
Do I need proof of purchase?
Yes. Keep your invoice and order number. They make a claim much faster.
Is the liner safe for drinking water?
Yes. Our food-grade liners meet NSF/ANSI/CAN 61, the North American health-effects standard for drinking-water components.
